ARRAY ANIMAL RESCUE
Mission Statement
Our mission is to empower and support individuals in need by offering foster care and medical assistance for their pets. We serve those affected by homelessness, poverty, addiction, and domestic violence. We also can provide emergency pet care during unexpected crisis. By doing this we strive to not only alleviate overburdened shelters, but also improve our communities by helping those experiencing homelessness find stability and transition off the streets without fear of losing their furry companions.
Ways We Can Help You
-
For those living in an unsafe home and feel they cannot leave without ensuring the safety of their pets first, we will provide fostering while you get yourself out and safe.
-
For homeless individuals and those who qualify as low income seeking recovery or transitional housing, we provide pets with temporary foster care.
-
For those unable to keep their animals despite our assistance, and provided we have the space, we can help with a nonjudgmental surrender.
Foster or Adopt
These babies are up for adoption and still need fosters to take them in while they wait for their forever homes. All animals up for adoption are fixed and vaccinated. Adoption fees apply and do vary.
Stumpy
Stumpy is an 8 year old Bully Basset Mix who is in need of a foster or adoption. His owners have had the fortune of finding a place to live but cannot take him with them. We would take him but we are out of fosters! Please if you are interested in Stumpy as a pal for a while or forever, we would be so grateful. More than likely, you would be saving his life, as older dogs do not always make it far in shelters.
Become a Foster
As a foster based program we are always
looking for new people to sign up. There is a shortage of available fosters right now and we are struggling to help those in need. Please consider this, the community needs you. As an incentive, we are offering housekeeping once per month while you are fostering a pet. Also, remember that all we are asking for is your love and care, you will never be asked to pay for your foster animal in any way. Try it out, you are not obligated to keep a foster animal for any set amount of time and can decide the length of time you feel comfortable with. Remember that every animal being fostered is a human in recovery or transitional housing, making one less person struggling on the streets, one less person in active addiction, or one less woman living with domestic violence.

Make a Difference, One Donation at a Time

Your generous support gives us the power to rescue, rehabilitate, foster and return pets to their families. Every donation provides the vital medical care that most homeless animals are in desperate need of, grooming, and training if needed. But most of all you are giving a chance for these animals to feel safe and live a life where they have the chance to be their playful selves instead of forever on guard in the unpredictable world of the streets. Both they and their owners will thank you for helping them to live fuller, healthier lives.
A Sanctuary in the Future

As time moves on we have begun to realize that the scope of the need for our service is much larger than we had ever thought. We have always dreamed of someday having a sanctuary where animals can convalesce no matter their circumstances, whether they are there to live out the rest of their lives, or are there just waiting for their owner to finish their treatment. We know now that this cannot just be a dream, we must make it a reality. Along with fosters and donors, this sanctuary will be equally as important. Right now we do not have enough funding to be able to care for the animals as it is, let alone start squirreling away money into a Sanctuary fund. Our goal is to have at least 2 acres within 70 miles of Portland by the end of 2025. Won’t you help us make this dream a reality? Donate any amount today.

Fundraiser plans
We are putting together a fundraiser to happen in December or January. We haven't figured out all of the logistics yet but we know we will be at a venue where we can have a band play, offer food and beverages, raffle off something cool and maybe incorporate an art show for local artists with art prints for sale benefiting the rescue. Check back for more details, I will update as we figure it all out. Thanks everyone!
Quote of the Week
Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs need to relax and get used to the idea.
